IBC students participate in robotics workshop
“The activity was coordinated by CodeComet, a Computer Science teaching system for children and young people. The action is part of the partnership being built between the IBC, Brazil-United States Institute (IBEU) and the Consulate General of the United States of America and was part of the celebrations of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.” (Portal Gov.br - Brazilian Ministry of Education)”
The workshop introducing maker culture and educational robotics with Arduino for the blind and people with low vision taught by me to students at the Benjamin Constant Institute was featured on the Ministry of Education website . The DuinoVox library for DOSVOX's Scriptvox programming language and the robotics materials used in the workshop were developed by me, under the guidance of Prof. Antonio Borges, specifically for the target audience in question, when I worked as a researcher at the TecnoAssist laboratory at NCE/UFRJ (@nceufrj/ @ufrj.oficial). The Workshop was promoted, in partnership, by the Consulate General of the United States of Americal and the Instituto Brasil Estados Unidos (IBEU) and coordinated by CodeComet .
